Sausage Gravy Casserole

Sausage Gravy Casserole is my favorite breakfast of all time!

It’s super easy and super delicious. This is a recipe I would make every morning if I could. It serves about 6 people so its great for sleepovers or overnight family gatherings! It also is greasy enough to cure any hangover!

Sausage Gravy Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of sausage
  • 1/3 cup of flower
  • 3 1/2 cups of milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Casserole Ingredients :

  • 5 Large potatoes
  • 2 cups of cheese (any kind you want)

Sausage Gravy Recipe:

  1. Brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat. Do not drain.
  2. reduce heat to low. Gradually stir the flower into the sausage. Allow sausage to soak up flower before adding more.
  3. Pour the milk in and stir constantly until thick.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste. If too thick add more milk to your preference.
  5. Set sausage gravy aside.

Preparing the Casserole:

  1. Dice potatoes. Use a cheese cloth to drain out excess water from potatoes.
  2. Place potatoes in cast iron pan and brown with some butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Once browned pour sausage gravy over top.
  4. Sprinkle cheese over gravy.
  5. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese is melted.
  6. Enjoy!

This recipe is super inexpensive most of the ingredients you probably already have around your house! It feeds quite a few people so the whole family can benefit. Even little kids will enjoy it. I hope you find this recipe as easy and enjoyable as I did!
