Sausage Gravy Casserole is my favorite breakfast of all time!

It’s super easy and super delicious. This is a recipe I would make every morning if I could. It serves about 6 people so its great for sleepovers or overnight family gatherings! It also is greasy enough to cure any hangover!
Sausage Gravy Ingredients:
- 1 lb of sausage
- 1/3 cup of flower
- 3 1/2 cups of milk
- salt and pepper to taste
Casserole Ingredients :
- 5 Large potatoes
- 2 cups of cheese (any kind you want)
Sausage Gravy Recipe:
- Brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat. Do not drain.
- reduce heat to low. Gradually stir the flower into the sausage. Allow sausage to soak up flower before adding more.
- Pour the milk in and stir constantly until thick.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. If too thick add more milk to your preference.
- Set sausage gravy aside.
Preparing the Casserole:
- Dice potatoes. Use a cheese cloth to drain out excess water from potatoes.
- Place potatoes in cast iron pan and brown with some butter. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Once browned pour sausage gravy over top.
- Sprinkle cheese over gravy.
- Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese is melted.
- Enjoy!
This recipe is super inexpensive most of the ingredients you probably already have around your house! It feeds quite a few people so the whole family can benefit. Even little kids will enjoy it. I hope you find this recipe as easy and enjoyable as I did!
